“The power generators are also fitted with auto-starters, which means that the generator will start itself immediately during a power cut and shut down automatically once ESKOM power is restored. The product is specifically aimed at the agricultural market requiring continuous uninterrupted power, such as dairies.” He adds that price is a further incentive – There will be a special introductory offer during the NAMPO show.

Bobcat SA

“The agricultural industry is important for Bobcat and that is why the exposure we get at NAMPO is necessary for our trademark,” says Brian Rachman, national sales manager of Bobcat Equipment SA.

The Bobcat B730 is an all-round, no-nonsense back acter for ditch digging, demolition, loading and material handling. The win-win characteristics of this formidable machine include:

The Bobcat E55 compact excavator is perfect for agricultural applications such as fruit farming. It is easy to manoeuvre this conventional rear steering model in limited areas, which enhances its versatility and usefulness. Typical characteristics are exceptional performance, digging depth and dumping height.

The E55 complies with Level 4 exhaust gas requirements. It is available with an extended arm and a big counterweight for further reach preventing the machine from toppling over. An angle blade option is also available. Bobcat offers the farmer a series of auger attachments for quick and accurate drilling of holes. Heavy duty hydraulics make these attachments suitable for any soil condition. Farmers have a choice between a direct drive auger for optimum balance between torque and revolutions per minute, or a gear-driven, planetary auger for applications that require maximum torque.

Goscor earthmoving equipment

SANY is the name of the Goscor earthmoving equipment range. This include excavators, road graders, road compactors, cranes, harbour equipment, pile drivers and concrete pumps.

SANY has 25 manufacturing plants and exports its equipment to 150 countries. The SANY excavator series in South Africa begins with the SY75 and presently even goes as heavy as the ZSY750 of 75 tons. The farmer will be interested in the smaller machines which begins with the SY75. This is a 7,5 ton machine and digs better ditches than any other TLB. The machine is light and can be transported easily from one site to another. SANY machines are fitted with, amongst others, Isuzu and Cummins engines, which means spares are readily available at reasonable prices.

Goscor Lift Truck Company

This GOSCOR unit has been supplying dependable equipment to farmers for more than 30 years, and a capable technical support team ensures that the equipment remain stalwarts.
