JCB’S new site and the bright yellow building on the NAMPO showgrounds covers three stands and probably surpasses most other exhibitors at the show.

A huge, golden-yellow building welcomed visitors entering the NAMPO Showgrounds from the south to the 2019 NAMPO Show. This impressive permanent building belongs to JCB and is proof of how serious they are about agriculture.

“We regard NAMPO as our most important showcase – that is why we decided to make a long term financial investment in NAMPO by renting three stands for 10 years,” says Justin Mills, regional sales manager of JCB Construction.

However, it does not end here. Bothaville is situated centrally between Johannesburg and Bloemfontein and that is why JCB decided the building will also be utilised as a sales and technical training centre. Furthermore the NAMPO management also agreed that JCB’s stalwart ground moving equipment may prove their worth by digging up the land on their demonstration site.

“To do it, one needs enough land and that is something that just cannot be done in Johannesburg. This reciprocating relationship between us and NAMPO will serve all well. We are making a long term investment and they allow is to use the terrain out of season, says Justin.

Some of the men who worked hard at NAMPO to keep the JCB name in the forefront are Justin Mills, regional sales manager, JCB Construction; Daniël Erasmus, sales engineer, JCB Africa-South; Peter Williams, sales engineer, JCB United Kingdom; Ryno van Niekerk, branch manager, AFGRI Harrismith, and Vivian Maclachlan of Kemach Equipment, Freestate and Northern Cape. To the left of them is the Fasttrack 4220 and on the right is the 560-80 telehandler.

The three legs on which JCB stand, are agriculture, construction and mining machinery. They decided this year to exhibit the machinery used in the three sectors together as a unit. “Our stand borders on three walking lanes; consequently visitors can see us from all angles and they should be able to gather an excellent general image of what we offer,” says Justin.

JCB had their full TLB range there, from the small and compact skid steer front end loader to the big 5CX. The whole range of hole diggers was also there from the 5,5 ton to the 31,5 ton. There were also material handlers and the impressive Fasttrack 4220 tractor, which is not really marketed in South Africa but which served well as a drawing card at NAMPO.

JCB’s agricultural distribution network in their five regions is handled by AFGRI, SENWES, MASCOR and JD Implements. Contact one of these dealers or the JCB sales personnel: Daniel on 072-564-1041 (email: daniel.erasmus@jcb.com , or Gary on 072-445-3112 or email gary.vanwyk@jcb.com , to find out more about the high quality of the machines.

Daniël Erasmus, sales engineer of JCB Africa-South, says the Q-Fit hitch-on system of the JCB-telehandler is exchangeable and is designed for the farmer who wants to remove his attachments in a matter of a few minutes.
The wide variety of JCB TLB’s is a well-known range of stalwarts in the agricultural, mining and construction industries.
