Farmers were impressed with Interstate Generator Power Solutions’ display of FG Wilson generators at Agritech. “Our stand was close to the entrance and about a third of the people passed our exhibition,” Vernon de Bruyn, Director of Interstate Generator Power Solutions, said.

At Agritech, Vernon displayed two generators: a 22 kVa and 110 kVa. “Both of them have sound proof canopies with sound attenuators. On a 110 kVa we look at 70 decibels at 7 metres. The smaller units are even quieter at 60 to 64 decibels 7 meters away, and they are completely weatherproof,” Vernon says.

All FG Wilson generators are equipped with changeover switches, which means that a farmer needn’t guard or even touch the generator. It automatically starts or stops as the Zesco-power comes on or off.

FG Wilson also offers a wide range of optional features such as sound attenuated enclosures, upgrades to CE certification, a wide variety of generator set controls, synchronising panels, additional alarms and shutdowns and a selection of exhaust silencers for different noise levels.

“The farmer can buy directly from us and we supply all the parts,” Vernon says. “We also service the generators to maintain the warranty. You have to buy genuine FG Wilson parts, but our filters cost even less than some of your big brand filters, and they are always available. Likewise, our generators are also sold at very competitive prices. Since Caterpillar, Perkins and FG Wilson is one company, the farmer may rest assured that his FG Wilson generator is the best quality that money can buy. It is not some offshoot from established brands.”
