ETG, a global conglomerate with expertise across various industries, announced today that their logistics vertical, ETG Logistics (ETGL) is expanding their product and services offering in the farming mechanization and automotive sectors.

ETGL operates an established Automotive and Farm Equipment Distribution business in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Botswana, Tanzania and Kenya, with plans to increase their footprint in East and Southern Africa, amongst other regions.

The recently launched VST Tillers Tractors by ETGL cover tractors from 18 HP (13.3 kW) 4WD to 50 HP (37.28 kW) and small farm mechanisation implements like power weeders, power reapers and power tillers ranging from 5 HP (3.7 kW) to 16 HP (11.8 kW). This range is ideally suited for small and emerging farmers where affordable mechanization is a key requirement.

For larger, commercial farmers, ETGL will also be offering the Belarus tractor range with engine outputs in the 80 HP (59.7 kW) to 360 HP (268.5 kW) range, as well as the Deutz Fahr tractor range with engine outputs ranging from 55 HP (41.0 kW) to 160 HP (119.3 kW).

With regards to their participation in the automotive sector, ETGL announced the introduction of the TVS range of 2-wheel motorcycles and 3-wheel delivery vehicles with engines ranging from 125 cc to 310cc. While the motorcycle range is expected to find acceptance with delivery users, last mile and private aspirational commuters including the agricultural segment, the 3-wheelers are squarely aimed at the delivery market. As a part of mobility solution, ETGL has introduced the TGB quad bikes (ATV’s) serving a wide range of customers in a range of segments, like Farming, Security, Game Reserves and Travel & Tourism in addition to the private owner purchasing ATVs for leisure.

Rajeev Saxena, ETGL CEO, commented “The expansion of our product offering will create more opportunities for the Group to delve deeper into the Southern and East African Farm Equipment Market, serving a wide range of agricultural customers. While this initiative is aligned to our commitment to farming communities, the introduction of 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler products will now also expand our scope of activities into mobility solutions aligning with our logistics vertical.”
