Allpronix: Smart instrumentation provides a complete view of plant processes

DSCF1987
You cannot control what you cannot measure. In a mine, processing plant or factory where hundreds of processes are taking place simultaneously, accurate information can mean the difference between smooth operations and costly downtime.
This is the world in which Allpronix operates.
ProAgri caught up with the Allpronix team at Electra Mining Africa 2026, but the company’s role extends far beyond its presence at the expo. Allpronix specialises in process instrumentation and industrial networking, providing technologies that enable companies to measure and monitor their processes and, ultimately, exercise more efficient process control.
The eyes and ears of a plant
Consider a large industrial plant. How does an operator know how much liquid is flowing through a pipeline, what the level inside a tank is, whether a motor is experiencing abnormal vibration, or whether a chute has become blocked? This is where process instrumentation comes into play.
Allpronix’s product portfolio includes flow meters, level and pressure transmitters, temperature instrumentation, vibration monitoring equipment, density meters, water-quality instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and industrial networking and wireless solutions.
The objective is not simply to collect more data. When the right instrument is installed at the right measurement point, it provides operators with greater visibility into what is actually happening within the process. Potential problems can be identified earlier, maintenance can be planned more effectively, and production can be managed more efficiently.
Technology for environments where conventional sensors struggle
One of the most interesting aspects of Allpronix’s offering is the technology available for particularly demanding industrial environments.
A good example is microwave technology for blocked-chute detection. The system transmits a microwave beam between a transmitter and receiver. When material interrupts the beam, the system can detect the blockage.
The technology is designed to continue operating in harsh conditions where dust, steam, flames or material build-up on conventional sensors may present a challenge. This makes it particularly well suited to mining operations and bulk-material handling systems.
Allpronix also offers radar level measurement for demanding applications. Some of the available technologies can operate at extremely high temperatures and measure the level of challenging materials such as ash and even molten steel.
Measuring flow without stopping production
Another practical service offered by Allpronix is flow verification.
Using a portable clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter, the team can measure flow rates from outside the pipe. The transducers are clamped onto the exterior of the pipeline, meaning the process does not necessarily have to be interrupted to perform the measurement.
The technology can be used to verify the performance of existing flow instrumentation, pumps and valves, and is suitable for applications across mining, water and wastewater treatment, and power generation.
This becomes particularly valuable in operations where every hour of downtime carries a production and financial cost.
More than an instrument in a box
Allpronix’s approach does not end with the sale of an instrument. The company conducts site assessments to evaluate an application before equipment is selected, while its technical team can install, commission and maintain instrumentation.
The company can also provide a complete turnkey solution, covering everything from cabling and flange welding to final commissioning and calibration. Control-panel building forms part of the service offering as well, allowing instrumentation or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to be pre-installed and configured in a panel before it reaches the customer’s site.
It is this combination of technology, practical expertise and technical support that adds depth to Allpronix’s offering. An instrument itself may be small, but the information it provides can have a significant impact on how safely, reliably and efficiently an operation performs.

From mining to the farm
Although much of this technology is designed for heavy industrial environments, the same principles are equally relevant to agriculture.
Flow meters can assist with monitoring water use and irrigation systems, while level measurement can be applied to tanks and silos. Pressure, temperature and water-quality instrumentation can also provide valuable insight into farm infrastructure and production processes.
Allpronix’s level-measurement portfolio, for example, includes solutions for measuring liquids, powders and other bulk solids in tanks, reservoirs and silos.
Whether deep underground in a mine, inside a processing plant or out on the farm, the principle remains the same: the better you understand what is happening within your process, the better you can manage it.
