Thousands of petrolheads converged on NASREC near Johannesburg recently for the Automechanika Show and revelled in the music of the giant kings of the road.
This year’s
international extravaganza was suppoted by exhibitors from Australia, Poland, China,
Pakistan, Germany, the USA and altogether 27 more countries to see, hear and
feel the excitement and view exhibits by more than 600 exhibitors.
New vehicles, such as the Foton FT10 truck from Powerstar, was launched and free taining sessions were presented to anyone who wanted to attend.
The new FAW 6.130 FL-truck with its Cummins engine (output 96 kW) is uiters extremely suitable forn the agricultural market. It can transport 3,5 tons with ease. Visitors to the Automechanika Show could also goggle at a few exmples from an earlier era – beautiful has never been unsightly! Several training sessions were presentend during Automechanika show and people could attend without any charge. Specialists lectured on more than 30 subjects during these sessions.
