BEKA Schréder offers a wide range of high-quality, South-African designed and manufactured LED luminaires, suitable for the agricultural sector.

Since 1978, BEKA Schréder has been designing and manufacturing luminaires which are suitable for Africa’s harsh environmental conditions. More than ten years ago, they have embraced LED technology and the benefits associated with it. BEKA Schréder is the leading LED luminaire manufacturer in Africa.

There are many areas in the agricultural sector that requires energy-efficient lighting. BEKA Schréder provides solutions for security, perimeter, warehouse, cold storage, and general area lighting.

Solutions for Security and Perimeter Lighting

It is a well-known fact that lighting is a deterrent to intruders and thus provides higher levels of security. Placing lighting in strategic places on one’s property is essential to feeling secure.

BEKA Schréder offers various energy-efficient lighting solutions for this application, ranging from solar lighting to LED lighting solutions. On the solar side, the BEKA SOLAR, SOLARPOLE and SOLARFLOOD are the ideal lighting solutions for off-grid areas. On-grid lighting solutions include the ZIYA and LEDLUME XP LED streetlights, and KAZELLE post top luminaire.

BEKA Schréder also has numerous LED floodlights to choose from, such as the OMNIBLAST-E range, the OMNISTAR range or the LEDFLOOD range.

Our glassfibre reinforced polyester (GRP) pole range also provides a cost-effective alternative to steel poles. The BEKAPOLE is non-corrosive, maintenance-free, light weight, vandal-resistant and sustainable. Over time, it will outlast wood, concrete, steel and aluminium under similar climatic conditions.

Lighting Solutions for warehousing and cold storage

In busy working environments, all employees from delivery drivers to warehouse members need quality lighting to work safely and accurately to operate machinery. The quicker and easier it is to see a hazard, the more easily it is avoided.

The lighting must not cause glare or flicker that could initiate headaches and eventually sick building syndrome or cause employees to misjudge situations and provoke accidents.

Equally, traditional light sources can have a colour rendering index of less than 50 which makes it difficult for workers to discern colours and writing. BEKA Schréder’s LED luminaires boast a CRI up to 70 or more, providing a much more natural colour, similar to natural daylight, for a better perception.

BEKA Schréder’s lighting solutions respect good practices and comply with local and international regulations to provide the required lighting levels to ensure the health and safety of all employees.

The LEDBAY and ECOBAY LED highbays, provide the optimal solution to illuminate these environments. Furthermore, the BEKA VAPOURLINE liner LED luminaire, and the LEDNOVA high-performance LED bulkhead range would be luminaires of choice.

General Building Lighting Solutions

BEKA Schréder offers various lighting solutions for buildings, ranging from exterior bulkhead lighting to interior office lighting.

For external building lighting, the BEKABULK, OPTIWAY and LEDNOVA provide high-quality area lighting. If a more decorative option is required, then the QVAL or SERIES 300 offer the perfect solution.

Conclusion

BEKA Schréder’s objective is to provide the right lighting solutions by optimising the optical and mechanical design of luminaires. Using contemporary technologies, their goal is to always offer intelligent and sustainable lighting solutions in order to reduce energy consumption, as well as the overall cost of ownership.

BEKA Schréder locally develops and manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting products, designed and suitable for local conditions.

I believe that smart switches and dimmers will definitely make farmers work earlier and living conditions better, just the way they are doing for city people.
